The government has admitted that the rate of conviction on those accused of attempting or successfuly completing cybercrime is on the rise. There is only one way to fight this kind of crime and that is through preventative methods.
The government is taking steps to imrprove the systems and make sure that new cyber threats are prevented in the future. But to achieve this, state of the art new equipment must be installed and new professionals need to be hired. There are already enough professionals available but because of private companies offering them better packages, many leave the government as soon as they have become capable of handling sophisticated attacks.
